
Dr. Angel White, a Chicago native, is a doctoral-prepared Nurse Practitioner specializing in primary care and mental health. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, Illinois, graduating with honors. Dr. White completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus in 2015 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 at Governors State University in University Park, Illinois. She began her nursing education at Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, Illinois, where she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2010.
Dr. White is nationally board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner and was granted Full Practice Authority in the state of Illinois in 2020. She further expanded her clinical expertise by completing her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at Northern Kentucky University in December 2025. She is fully licensed and board-certified to provide comprehensive care to individuals across the lifespan.
With over 20 years of experience in healthcare, Dr. White’s career reflects a steady progression from Certified Nursing Assistant to Registered Nurse and ultimately to Nurse Practitioner. She brings extensive expertise in health promotion, disease prevention, acute and chronic disease management, mental health care, and patient education. Her clinical background spans a wide range of settings, including primary care (pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics), urgent care, acute rehabilitation, long-term care, mental health/psychiatry, home health, hospice and palliative care, and telehealth.
Dr. White is the co-owner of A & S Divine Healthcare, located in Calumet City, Illinois, where she delivers high-quality, patient-centered services. Offerings include primary and urgent care, mental health services, in-office testing and laboratory services, school, sports, work, and DOT/CDL physicals, weight management and body contouring, IV hydration and vitamin therapy, telehealth services, CPR training, and nursing preceptorship opportunities.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. White is deeply committed to education, leadership, and mentorship. She serves as an adjunct graduate nursing professor at a local university, where she is dedicated to preparing and inspiring the next generation of nurses through academic excellence and real-world clinical insight.
Dr. White is an active member of several professional organizations, including the National Nursing Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Known for her compassion and dedication, her practice philosophy centers on delivering the highest quality of care to patients, families, and the communities she serves.
Her leadership and impact have been widely recognized. Dr. White has received multiple honors, including “40 Under 40” Nursing Leader, Community Service, and Mentorship and Education awards from The Nurses Magazine, as well as the Women of Distinction Honors from Nationwide Registries. She has also been featured in The Southland Journal for her outstanding accomplishments and meaningful contributions to the community.
